Star Mommas

Mother's Day has come and gone, but who says we should stop celebrating these wonderful women? Even Hollywood's biggest names aren't shy in showing the public the close relationship they have with their moms.

Celebrity Baby Scoop gives us a rundown of celebrities who are close to their moms. Gotta love these mother-daughter duos:

Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow grew up in a Hollywood household—her dad, Bruce Paltrow, was a well-known director; mom Blythe Danner is an Emmy award-winning actress—so it's no wonder Gwyneth became an Academy Award-winning movie star.

Gwyneth and Blythe have acted together once, in the British film Sylvia. The mother-daughter duo are set to share the Broadway stage in the musical A Little Night Music. The gorgeous pair will replace Chicago alum Catherine Zeta-Jones and acting vet Angela Lansbury, 84, as the leading actresses in the production.

Blythe has given her daughter some great career advice:

"She told me not to let all the outside stuff in the business permeate my life and to stay above the fray. None of us read anything written about us—we don’t even read the reviews. You try to stay as true to the work as you can and let the other stuff just wash over you.”

Gwyneth said her mother was her rock after her father's sudden death in 2002:

"My mom was great. We flew down to New Zealand together, which was really lovely. You know, it was just comforting to be together, to eat our meals together and to work together.”

Grandma Blythe recently said that being grandma to Apple, 6 next Friday, and Moses, 4, is “phenomenal,” and she would “love it” if more grandchildren were on the way. The 67-year-old actress raved about her daughter's mothering skills:

"Gwyneth really invests herself in an unusual way. She’s incredibly patient. She spends a lot of time with them. She answers everything. She anticipates. She never surprises them. They’re well-prepared for all the travel and all the things that go on. They’re very happy kids.”
