This year’s current crop of It girls have it all – they’re young, they’re talented, they’re glamorous, AND they’ve got great hair!

Elizabeth Olsen – The younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley, this young actress did theater as a child and made her film debut in the indie film Martha Mary May Marlene.

Get her look: Spray hair with volumizing or texturizing spray, then tie into a high ponytail. Create a topknot by wrapping the ponytail around the elastic and securing with bobby pins. Accentuate with the Victoria for a sophisticated look. The Victoria is a 2 ½” satin with sequin embroidery bow on a pinch clip or a French clip. Get her look: Apply a dime-size amount of silicon hair serum to dripping wet hair. Blow dry straight, using a paddle brush, but gently twist hair at the tips for a more natural look. Juno Temple – This English-born actress appeared as Queen Anne in the 3D film adaptation of The Three Musketeers and is set to appear on the much-anticipated upcoming The Dark Knight Rises.

Get her look: (This hairstyle works best on hair that is not superfine and has a bit of texture.)
Use a small-barreled curling iron to create ringlets, starting from the bottom of the head and working your way up to the crown. Wear the Sunny flower hair clip to complete the hippie flower child vibe. The Sunny is a tiny daisy on a mini clip. It is available in lime, orange, shocking pink and yellow.         

Ryan Newman – This Young Artist Award winner, actress and No Slippy Hair Clippy model is poised to become one of Hollywood’s big stars. She played the younger Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana and currently stars in Disney XD’s Zeke and Luther.

Get her look: Use a large-barreled brush or curling iron to create natural-looking waves or curls. Gently spritz with hair spray to lock the waves in place. Wear the Heather headband for a girly, summery look.The Heather headband is available in shocking pink and white.

   

Hailee Steinfeld – This talented young actress beat out 15,000 girls for a role in the western True Grit, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is set to appear as Juliet in an upcoming adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.

Get her look: Part hair to one side and create a long braid, securing the end with an elastic. Top the elastic with an elegant hair bow like the Paisley. The Paisley is a 1 ½” organza glitter baby bow on a pinch clip. It is available in bubblegum, shocking pink, white, red, and black.

Boom Boom Room Updates

We're counting down the days to Boom Boom Room 2010 in LA and we cannot possibly be more excited! Here is a "snap shot" of what it will be like this year.

We were invited to participate last year too, so we're pretty familiar with how things go in the event. But this year, what's new are the several charities participating! And we're thrilled to show some support! No Slippy Hair Clippy will be leaving products for Halle Berry’s charity, called The Jenesse. It's a non-profit organization that provides shelter to women and children who were victims of domestic violence. Aside from that, I will also be bringing three to four of my favorite books to the event to donate.

I expect a HUGE turn out this year, including A-listers who are some of No Slippy Hair Clippy's first fans, which is just wonderful. I'll be tweeting updates during the event, so all those who want in on all the juicy details, follow us on Twitter: iClippy and tell us which celebrities you think we will spot!

I'm also very excited that Amanda Elkins, our prized photographer, is coming on Saturday, so I expect some very professional photo shots for us that day! Lovely young actress Ryan Newman (of Disney's Zeke and Luther) confirmed she’s coming to the show Saturday, too! This young lady is extremely busy, but is making time to visit the show to see No Slippy Hair Clippy and Amanda (who has shot her photos on several occasions).

This is an exciting time for us, and a super way to start off this New Year of 2010!
